I actually have to do a blogpost FOR my school, not just about it haha.
Yes, believe it or not, one of my assignments is to review a school resource on a blog or on the class bulletin board. Well, i figured, i had two blogs, one to show off school assignments, and one personal, so i'll post this on both.
I am reviewing Perdue university's O.W.L. guide on writing numbers. Honestly, i hate to admit this, I was not familiar with the fact that there were Rules for writing numbers! Makes me wonder about the quality of our highschool education haha.
The Guide does a decent job of explaning the rules of writing numbers for those of us who were "sick the day they taught it." :P The Guide gives a very clear description of how to avoid mixing up your numbers, and examples of the proper, and improper way, of writing those numbers, whether they be in numeral or text. I learned that in mixing up both written numbers and numerals.... that I had been breaking a grammatical rule. I will be avoiding that in the future. :P

Our Brother is in Glory, with the Lord He gave his life for!
Together with our Brother Let us sing:
HOLY HOLY HOLY, Lord God of Hosts, Heaven and Earth are full of thy Glory, Praise be to thee O Christ. Amen!
May his murderers learn the Peace of Our Master.

Our Brothers and sisters from South Korea are in danger Tonight. The evil one is threatening their lives. Pray that God's will be done, that they be delivered, or become Strong Wittnesses for Christ in their martyerdom.
May they Have the Strength to do His Will.

Nirvana With the Lights out
Nirvana was easily one of the Greatest Rock bands to ever exist. Yes, I admit they were not virtuosos. But that is not what they were known for. That is not what they gave to music. That is not what they are remembered for.
They are remembered for the passion and brutal honesty they brought forward in their lyrics, and the intensity that was present in their music. Irony was the driving force of their hit "Smells Like Teen Spirit", Injustice was the Muse of the oft misunderstood "Rape Me", Pain was all too obvious in the late Released "You Know You're Right", which I consider a more obvious Suicide note than the one he scrawled before he died.
I just received the Box set from my brother for my Birthday. The Cuts are Raw, and the Songs are unfinished, which would drag down our image of any other band. Nirvana Fans revel in the imperfect yet powerful musical works of art.
The Box set pulls back the very thin layer of production and lets us see even more clearly what Nirvana was about. Intensity and Honesty.
I admit many will not like the rough cuts.... But I can only describe this set with one word.
Brilliant.
Tired
But that's nothing new. I didn't sleep as much as I should have last night. Stayed up to late on the computer doing my nerdy music/surfing thing.
I need a life lol.
I have taken to watching adult swim lately. I love Futurama, Family guy and Robot Chicken. Nerd heaven.
Interesting Link of the day.
